Carolyn
Schur focuses on maximizing health and performance through sleep and
fatigue management. She shares the 'sleep' message through
presentations, books and professional publications and is frequently
called upon by the media for expert comment on sleep, shiftwork and
her specialty, circadian rhythm disorders.
Carolyn offers her clients leading-edge and research-based
information and solutions, but her presentations contain many
real-life examples and experiences derived from her own experience
and that of both her individual and organizational clients.
Carolyn's career in 'sleep' began in 1992 with the publication of
her book Birds of a Different Feather: Early Birds and Night Owls
Talk About Their Characteristic Behaviors. Since then, she has
worked with organizations in many sectors to ensure that employees
value and protect their sleep. In addition, she has authored
Working 'Round the Clock: A Survival Guide for Shift and Night
Workers and has developed a number of resources for the shift
work workplace. (www.alertatwork.com)
Most recently, Carolyn has established Associated Sleep Services (www.associatedsleepservices.com)
in Saskatoon, Canada to address the need for sleep disorders
screening.
Carolyn has either been published or provided expert comment to The
New York Times, Baltimore Sun, Wisconsin Public Radio, Australian
Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian HR Reporter and a variety of
other media.
